I asked a friend of mine, who is an artist, how she got the idea for the type of paintings that she does. (ie. her style) She told me that it’s just what she doodles when she’s not really thinking…like in a boring class. It’s just sort of something you have in you.

I liked that idea. I thought about what I draw when I’m not thinking too hard about it…and it’s usually these flowers. So I thought I’d make them a little more official and see what happens. I’m pretty happy with them so far.  I especially like how they look in a frame that holds 3 to 5 images horizontally.

“Beautiful Mother” on a trip to Australia!

One of my paintings, titled “Beautiful Mother”, was purchased and is on it’s way to Australia!  It was a good learning experience, as far as becoming familiar with shipping large items overseas.  It turns out that the best solution was to ship it in a wooden box.
