Part 3

Paintings:
Here’s some random little paintings from last month. They’re about 8″x10″. Most of them were done when I was tired. Especially the lavender one. It’s called, “Um, This is the Color of the Shirt I’m Wearing” The cat one is inspired by my sister’s cat. It’s called, “Dancing Rufus.” Her cat doesn’t really dance, but if it did, there would be some major money in that.
Fish:
This is one of those little plastic “stained glass” things you get at the craft store, that you fill in with the special “stained glass paint.” Yeah, they’re like for Kindergarten. ….Maybe 1st grade. I took the photo with the fish on my light box.
Wooden Box:
This was a an abandoned project that I started quite a while ago. I finally finished it. It’s a little wood box from the Wal-Mart crafts section. About 3″ x 4″ x 2″. It’s painted it and modge podged on some flower petals I had dried. Then I covered the outside in an acrylic varnish. The inside is black.
Nice stuff! What do you do your paintings on?
Love it. The dancing cat makes me especially happy!
RE: Matt’s Comment
I normally do my good paintings on stretched canvas, which is the best quality. For little quick ones I use canvas boards, watercolor paper, or pages out of my sketchbook. These ones are with watercolor paper.
Thanks,
Alisha
I like the dancing cat!
ADORABLE!
I just realized, one of Hosea’s favorite toys is a little cat rattle that looks a lot like your dancing cat. I think he likes the stripes.
